Staff members attend 2-day tax seminars in November 2011
Fourteen members of our firm attended 2-day Federal Income Tax seminars at various locations in the Chicago area during the month of November, 2011. The seminars, sponsored and supported by the University of Illinois, focus on providing updates on tax issues, including individual income taxes, corporate, trust, estate, and partnerships, as well as an update on changes that have occurred with Illinois taxes. The seminars are geared for experienced tax professionals who have worked through several tax seasons.
“There were no major tax laws introduced in 2011, but that doesn’t mean that there is nothing to review,” notes Jan Wright, a manager with our firm. “A number of tax provisions expire at the end of 2011, and several other provisions are slated to end after 2012. It takes a committment to continual learning to make sure that we have the knowledge necessary to advise our clients.” Well put, Jan.
